Installation Staff Chaplain, Joint Readiness Training Center & Fort Polk, Louisiana. Lead, supervise, and manage the ministry of 17 Ministry Teams serving in excess of 20,000 military personnel, family members, Department of Army Civilians, and retired military. Focusing on a creative vision for the future, building teamwork, and initiating a restructure plan during significant organizational change.

May 1996 - May 1998

Area II & 34th Area Support Group Staff Chaplain, Yongsan, Korea. Lead, supervised, and managed ministry of 23 Ministry Teams serving over 25,000 military personnel, family members, Department of Army Civilians, and Korean Nationals. Focused on rebuilding a financially sound and ethical basis for diverse programs; initiated four major facility renovations under very stressful conditions; and, fostered healthy working relationships for multiple faith groups and cultures.

Served as primary staff officer for worldwide soldier & family support issues at the Department of Army level during Desert Storm, Hurricane Andrew, and beyond. Focused on research and policy development, futuristic programming, and pastoral training.

Division Chaplain, 7th Infantry Division (Light), Fort Ord, California. Lead and supervised 20 Ministry Teams for a 12,000 soldier Infantry Division in combat and peacetime operations. Focused on timely and professional ministry response in combat situations and other rapid deployments.

Deputy Installation Chaplain, Fort Ord, California. Served as Deputy Installation Chaplain, Marriage & Family Trainer, Personnel & Training Manager, and Resource Manager for over 35 Ministry Teams serving a community of over 40,000. Focused on rebuilding relationships and administration, clergy training, resource development, and facilities improvements.

Family Life Chaplain & Resource Manager, Camp Zama, Japan. Served as Family Life Chaplain, Protestant Pastor, and Resource Manager for four Ministry Teams and Japanese Nationals that served the largest Army population in Japan in three separate locations. Focused on couple counseling, innovative and diverse programs to reach young soldiers, and organizational effectiveness through change.

Battalion Chaplain, 68th Transportation Battalion, Fort Carson, Colorado. Served as Chaplain for the largest Transportation Battalion in the Army. Conducted pastoral counseling, preaching, field training, and numerous programs. Focused on marriage counseling training, organizational effectiveness training, and participated in two Army training movies dealing with separations and grief and loss.

Law Enforcement and Confinement Chaplain, Fort Carson, Colorado. Conducted group therapy for inmates and guards, conducted worship services, pastoral counseling, and personal growth programs. Focused on group dynamics and building support networks within a confinement facility.

Dec 1974 - Sep 1975

Assistant Brigade Chaplain, 3d Infantry Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colorado. Conducted pastoral counseling, field visitation, training, and worship opportunities for soldiers of the 34th Armor Battalion. Focused on young soldier personal and spiritual needs, field training, and parish development.

Command Chaplain, 4th Missile Command, Camp Page, Korea. Served as Post Chaplain and Senior Pastor for two battalions and a command headquarters in two separate locations in Korea.
